Mapping populations

Our group developed populations that are suitable for linkage mapping of genetic markers. These mapping populations are being generated by crossing two or more genetically diverse lines and handling the progeny in a definite procedure. Generally, the parents used for hybridization will be from the same species, but in some of them, they are from different Phaseolus species.

In this collection, F2, Double Cross (DC), Back Cross (BC), recombinant Inbreed Line (RILs) and Near Isogenic Lines (NILs) are included for different purposes. Gene mapping was carried out for some of these populations.
